Chasity Shavers has been named the Spartan Foundation Student Athlete of the Week for her performances for the women's basketball team last week.
Shavers scored a career best 34 points in her Event Center finale last Saturday night against Boise State. Her 34 points were the fifth-highest single game point total. She was 12-for-24 from the field and added five steals, an assist and a blocked shot.
Shavers added 16 points in the 68-61 win over Hawaii last Wednesday night where she had four rebounds and an assist.
The Spartans play at Idaho Wednesday night in the team's only game of the week.
