Thomasina Wallace has been named the Spartan Foundation Student Athlete of the Week after her performances in the women’s gymnastics victory at Seattle Pacific this past Saturday night.

Wallace won the all-around with a season-best 39.200, the eighth-best score in school history.  She also won the bars with a career-best 9.875. 

Wallace now has the top-two bars scores in the WAC this year and the second-highest all-around score in the conference.

She added a 9.800 on vault, a 9.775 on floor and a 9.750 on beam.

She helped San Jose State to its best team score this season at 195.400, which is the second-best score in school history.  The team score is also the top team score in the WAC this year.

San Jose State returns home this Friday night to face Sacramento State.  Start time is 7 p.m.  The meet will take place in Spartan Gym, which is located in Yosh Uchida Hall on the corner of Fourth and San Carlos Streets.
