Thomasina Wallace has been named the Spartan Foundation Student Athlete of the Week for her performances in the San Jose State women’s gymnastics victory last week.

In her Spartan Gym debut, she won the all-around with a 38.800. Wallace won the bars with a 9.900 and in the process became just the third person in school history to score a 9.900 on the bars. She also finished second on the floor with a 9.850 and added a 9.575 on vault and a 9.475 on beam.

Her scores helped San Jose State to a 192.350 team score and wins over Brigham Young and UC Davis.

The women’s gymnastics team continues at home this Friday with a meet against Boise State and Seattle Pacific beginning at 7 p.m. The meet will be held in Spartan Gym at Yosh Uchida Hall, located on the corner of Fourth and San Salvador on the San Jose State campus.
