Oliver scored 29 points to lead San Jose State to a season sweep of Fresno State with an 85-79 win over the Bulldogs last Saturday night. It was the first season sweep of the Bulldogs since 1991.
In the game, Oliver made six of his first seven shots from the field and finished the game 10-of-17. Normally a shooting guard, Oliver adapted to playing at point guard after Spartan Justin Graham went to the bench with two fouls at the 16:03 mark of the first half. Oliver then stepped up and dished out five assists in the game.
Against Utah State earlier in the week, Oliver scored eight points and grabbed three rebounds in a 62-58 loss.
San Jose State is now 9-9 overall and 3-4 in the WAC. The team plays at New Mexico State Thursday night and at Louisiana Tech Saturday afternoon.
