Waylon Prather punted six times in the Spartans victory over Idaho. He averaged 48.8 yards per punt in the 28-13 victory. He landed three punts inside the 20-yard line. His last four punts were not returned including a 53-yard punt that went out of bounds at the 1-yard line. The 53-yard punt pinned Idaho against its goal line and led to a San Jose State interception deep in Vandal territory and a Spartan TD for a 21-13 lead in the fourth quarter. The team's net punting was 44.3 yards per punt, and the average starting position for Idaho following a Prather punt was the 20.5 yard line
He now ranks 14th nationally in punting.
