Patrick Perry has been named the Spartan Foundation Student-Athlete of the Week after his performance in the Spartan football team’s 31-21 victory at New Mexico State.
Perry blocked the team’s first punt of the season. The Spartans then scored the go-ahead touchdown as Jeff Clark picked up the block and returned it two yards for the score. The win also snapped San Jose State’s 15-game road losing streak.
For his accomplishment in the game, Perry was named the Western Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week.
