Katrina Delen-Briones has been named the Spartan Foundation Student-Athlete of the Week for her performance last week for the women's golf team.

Delen-Briones won the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational individual honors.  She rolled a 4-foot down hill putt on the 18th hole to post a one-under par 71 in the final round to post a 219 total.  In her first collegiate victory, she defeated Natasha Podmore of San Francisco who played in the same threesome.  Delen-Briones was just one of two players to shot under par in the final round.

The Spartan women's golf team finished fifth out of 13 teams at the tournament with a 934.  Delen-Briones was one of two Spartan players to finish in the top-10 as teammate Madeleine Ziegert tied for 10th at 228.

San Jose State competes this Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Stanford Intercollegiate.
