Yonus Davis rushed for a career-high 199 yards and scored two touchdowns to help lead the Spartan football team to a 44-10 victory over Louisiana Tech on Saturday, October 28. Davis rushed for touchdowns from seven yards and 90 yards in the first half. His 90-yard run was the third longest in school history and second longest run by any Division I-A player this season. His 190 yards were part of the Spartans' 476 team rushing yards, the highest total by any team in the nation this season.
For his accomplishments, Davis was also named the WAC Offensive Player of the Week.
