Keri Anglin has been named the Spartan Foundation Student-Athlete of the Week after helping lead the volleyball team to its second-consecutive tournament title with a 2-1 record at the UVU/La Quinta Inn & Suites Invitational last weekend.

For her efforts, Anglin was named the Most Valuable Player of the UVU/La Quinta Inn & Suites Invitational.  In three matches, she led the Spartans in blocking with 18, 1.38 pg, and averaged 2.00 kills and 0.31 aces per game.

In a win over Weber State, she hit .364 with eight kills on 22 attempts and no hitting errors. Against Utah Valley, Anglin tied her season-high with 11 kills and notched career-bests of six block assists and eight total blocks.  She added six blocks and a career-best two service aces in a victory over Arizona State.

The Spartans are 6-3 on the season and open the home portion of its schedule this Wednesday, September 12, with a non-conference match against San Francisco at 7 p.m., in Spartan Gym.
