Davis rushed for a career-best 184 yards in the Spartans victory over Stanford in the Battle of the South Bay last weekend. The Oakland, Calif. native carried the ball 23 times and scored one touchdown in the win. The Spartans, led by Davis, rushed for 342 yards as a team, the first time San Jose State has reached the 300-yard rushing mark as a team since the 2004 season.
Davis enters next week's action against Cal Poly with a 6.78 yards-per-carry average and ranks 19th nationally in rushing, averaging 108.50 yards-per-game. Davis has three 100-plus yard rushing games in his Spartan career.
