Erica Moston has been named the Spartan Foundation Athlete of the Week for her performances last week for the San Jose State women's golf team.

Moston finished sixth at the Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic tournament with a four-under-par 212, the first time in her collegiate career that she has posted an under-par score in a tournament. Moston also shot just her second round in the 60s during her Spartan career in the third round.  She shot a three-under 69 as she made four birdies with just one bogey. Her other round in the 60s came this past March with a 68 at the Mountain View Collegiate. Moston shot one-under for the first round and had five birdies, while she shot an even 72 in round two with three birdies.

Moston helped the Spartans to a fourth-place finish at the tournament as the Spartans defeated three teams from the Western Athletic Conference Idaho, Fresno State and New Mexico State.  Moston, the reigning WAC Player of the Year, was the top WAC finisher in the tournament.

San Jose State returns to action next week at the Ron Moore Invitational in Denver, from September 22-24.
