Baseball -- Tony Tognetti.
Women's Golf -- Helle Gram, Molly Greenblatt, Rebecka Heinmert, Jessica Krantz, Georgina Simpson.
Softball -- Kim Bentley, Dianna Lilly.
Women's Tennis -- Anna Nordell, Caroline Stenman, Helen Tran.

SJSU student-athletes named to the all-freshman team include:
Women's Cross Country -- Rebeckah Harmer, Lauren Adams.
Women's Soccer -- Jessica Hernandez.
Men's Soccer -- Henning Iversen.

Ron Hannon, director of the CHAMPS/Life Skills program at SJSU, said the honorees reflect an increased emphasis on academics in the athletic department. "We work extremely hard in creating programs and services for our student-athletes.

"We've improved our services to student-athletes in the three years I've been associated with the academic side, so that our student-athletes are excelling in the classroom," said Hannon. "This list also indicates the quality of students in our programs. Our coaches are recruiting better students, and we're seeing the dividends not only on the field but in the classroom as well."
