"The Tribute" generates over $68,000 for student-athlete scholarships

The Tribute was created by the special assistant to the athletics director and former football coach John Ralston to honor the memory of wife, Patty, of 46 years who passed away in 1997. More than 120 golfers and 30 celebrities including Jeff Garcia, Andre Carter, Keena Turner, Jim Plunket, Joe Kapp, James Hodgins, Buddy Teevens, Jeff Tedford and Phil Johnson participated in the event.
"It was a huge success. Everybody had a great time and were just tremendously pleased," remarked Coach Ralston. "We were going into untravelled waters with playing at a new golf course this year, but it worked out very well. So needless to say, we are pleased."
