Women's swimming and diving stepped into the victory circle first taking its show on the road to UC Davis and came away with convincing victories over the Aggies and Western Athletic Conference opponent Fresno State on January 10. The Spartans now are 12-1 in dual meet action.
Women's basketball defended Walt McPherson Court with a 54-50 victory over the University of Hawai'i for its first WAC win of the season.
Men's basketball followed suit within minutes. The Spartans overcame an 11-point second-half deficit for a 71-68 overtime victory at Fresno State. San Jose State picked up its third overtime win in the last two seasons and won in Fresno for the first time since 1993.
Women's gymnastics closed out the perfect weekend with a school-record 193.300 opening-meet team total in its triumph at Cal State Fullerton.
The sum total from four San Jose State teams - five wins, four of them on the road. All but one against conference opponents.
