Women's Basketball Signs Three This Spring Including Alaska Gatorade Player of the Year

Macon was selected as the 2002 Alaska Gatorade Player of the Year and a Street and Smith's Preseason All-American Honorable Mention while playing at St. Michael's High School. She was a two-time Alaska Region IV All-State First Team selection and a four-time all-conference pick. During her senior year, Macon averaged 16.5 points, 8.7 rebounds, 3.6 steals and 1.4 assists per game. She shot 70 percent from the free throw line and was one of the state's top-10 scorers. Macon was also selected to Who's Who in American High School Sports.
Pantallion was a three-time Ceula Player of the Year for Bolton High School in Alexandria. She was a four-time all-league, all-district and all-state selection. She broke the school record for single points in a game with 40 and scored 2,511 career points. Pantallion added 958 assists, 755 rebounds and 676 steal in her four-year career. She is the first player from her high school to sign a letter-of-intent with a Division I university.
Johnson averaged 20 points, 11.5 rebounds and 4.5 blocked shots at Renton High School. A 2001 graduate of Renton High School, she did not play her senior year due to an ACL injury. Johnson was a two-time All-Seamount League selection and the 199-2000 Most Valuable Player of the Seamount League.
These three players join Kim Sheehy who signed a letter of intent in the fall. Sheehy is a 5-9 point guard from St. Michael's High School in Santa Fe, N.M. She is a three-sport athlete who was a first team all-state selection this season. Sheehy averaged 21.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.1 steals and 3.1 assists per game.
