SAN JOSE, Calif. – Freshman guard Zach Chappell is ready to make his collegiate debut. He joins the Spartans after a prolific high school career at Capital Christian High in Sacramento where he was a four-year starter and a two-time GEL League MVP. Chappell was also named All-League twice and was a First Team All-Metro selection as a senior.
Chappell averaged 20.3 points, 4.3 assists and 4.7 rebounds as a senior. The 6'3 guard brings not only a skillset used on the court, but also an upbeat personality that makes him one of the more personable members of the Spartans roster.
