Spartans Blanked By Air Force, 4-0

Colorado Springs, Colo. ----- Air Force scored two second-half goals 86 seconds apart en route to a 4-0 victory over San Jose State University in a Western Athletic Conference men's soccer match.

Austin Dewing of Air Force (13-2, 6-1 WAC), third in the conference in goal scoring scored once in each half for his ninth and tenth goals of the season to give the Falcons a 2-0 lead at the 51:15 mark. Aaron Uribe made it 3-0 for Air Force with his fifth goal of the season 1:26 later. The highest scoring team in the WAC closed out the scoring at 67:30 with James Sims' second goal in 2018.

San Jose State (5-7-2, 3-3-1 WAC) was out-shot, 18-6. Max Allen was the only Spartan able to get off more than one shot with two. Kalei Tolentino-Perry, Jeff Dukes, Nelson Brienes and Andy Rios also were credited with getting shots away against the stingy Falcons' defense.

Alex Clewis had another busy night in goal for San Jose State making 11 saves. Air Force goalkeeper Andrea Seazzu was not forced to make save. The shutout was the Falcons' third 4-0 shutout of the season and the seventh time holding a team scoreless in a match.
