Last Week: San José State lost 16-13 at San Diego State this past Saturday night.
This Week: The Spartans host UNLV in a 3:30 p.m. kickoff inside CEFCU Stadium this Saturday, October 27.
Spartan Fact #1: San José State limited San Diego State to only one touchdown on Saturday. The previous time the Spartans limited an opponent to a single six-pointer in a game was a 13-0 loss to Hawai'i on November 15, 2014 at CEFCU Stadium.
Spartan Fact #2: San Jose State kept the San Diego State offense in check yielding a season-low 293 yards - the first time since the November 26, 2016 win at Fresno State that the defense kept an opponent under 300 yards of total offense.

Last Week: San José State split a pair of home matches last week, defeating San Diego State, 3-2 last Thursday before falling to conference leader Fresno State, 3-1, on Saturday
This Week: The Spartans go on the road for two matches - Thursday at Utah State and Saturday at Boise State.
Spartan Fact: San José State has now played all 10 MW teams once this season. This week starts the second-half of the conference schedule.
Spartan Fact #2: Luiza Andrade had back-to-back 23 dig matches last week and averaged 5.11 digs per set in the two matches last week.

Women's Soccer (7-6-4, 6-2-2 Mountain West)
Last week: The Spartans went on the road and tied both of their opponents - 0-0 at Utah State on Friday and 0-0 at MW leader Boise State on Sunday.
This Week: SJSU goes on the road for the final conference match of the year - at Fresno State on Friday, October 26 at 7 p.m.
Spartan Fact #1: Paige Simoneau set the school record for shutouts in a season against Utah State with eight and then extended that record with her ninth of year against Boise State.
Spartan Fact #2: The Spartan defense held the nation's top scorer, Boise State's Raimee Sherle, to no goals or shots, with the team's 0-0 tie on Sunday.

Last week: The Spartans split a pair of WAC road matches last week, losing at Air Force, 4-0 last Thursday but winning at Utah Valley, 2-1, on Saturday.
This Week: San José State hosts matches against Incarnate Word on Friday and UTRGV on Sunday.
Spartan Fact: Kalei Tolentino-Perry and Omar Lemus scored goals in the win over Utah Valley as the Spartans moved into fourth place in the WAC standings with two weeks left in the conference season.

Men's and Women's Cross Country
This Week: The Spartans travel to San Diego for the 2018 MW Cross Country Championships on Friday, October 26, at Morley Field at Balboa Park.
Spartan Fact (Women): The Spartans had their best finish at the championships last year as they tied for fourth with Air Force. Jennifer Sandoval was 14th at the race and earned second team All-MW recognition.
Spartan Fact (Men): San José State finished seventh at the 2017 championship.
Jose Piña finished 11th at the 2016 MW Championships.

Women's Golf
Last Week: San José State finished sixth at the Illini Women's Invitational at the Medinah Country Club.
Upcoming: The Spartans are done with the fall portion of the schedule. The team next competes at the Rebel Beach Tournament February 18 and 19, in Las Vegas.
Spartan Fact: The Spartans finished the fall season with a 73.00 stroke average.

This Week: The Spartans are competing at the Visit Stockton Pacific Open, October 25-27.

Women's Tennis
Last Week: The doubles tema of Miyo Kobayashi and Savannah Sendar advance to the round of 16 championship bracket at the ITA Regional at Stanford last weekend. They lost in 8-2 to a pair from the University of Oregon.
This Week: The Spartans are preparing for the Bronco Invitational to be played the first weekend of November.

Men's Water Polo (6-13, 0-1)
Last Week: The Spartans went 2-2 over the weekend at the Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament. The team defeated Harvard, 13-12 SV, and Bucknell, 10-9 on Saturday before falling to Brown, 11-3, and St. Francis 10-9 on Sunday.
This Week: San José State hosts UC Irvine this Saturday at noon at West Valley College.
Spartan Fact: Giacomo Locatelli scored in three of the Spartans four matches over the weekend. He led the team in scoring against Harvard with four goals.

Women's Swimming & Diving
Last Week: The Spartans competed at the CSUB Sprint Classic and the Roadrunner Invitational.

Spartan Fact: The 200 freestyle relay of Madelyn Sailors, Taylor Lehr, Gabby Heng and Antoinette Loya, won with a time of 1:35.39 at the CSUB Sprint Classic.
Spartan Fact #2: Two others finished second at the Roadrunner Invitational. Gabriela Vieira was second in the butterfly at 2:06.49, while Antoinette Loya was second in the 50 free at 24.09.
