Take Five: Seneca Knight

SAN JOSE, Calif. – One of five freshman on the SJSU men's basketball roster, Seneca Knight is eager for the chance to hit the hardwood for his first collegiate game. The 6-6 forward brings a plethora of experience over from his high school playing days where he was 1,000-point scorer and three-year letterman at Northside High in Lafayette, Louisiana.

As a senior, Knight averaged 25 points, six rebounds, four assists, three blocks and two steals per game as he racked up 4A First Team All-State, All-Acadian and All-District honors. He scored over 600 points last season and was the top-rated scoring forward in the state. Knight topped 30 points nine times and 20 points eight times as part of the outstanding senior campaign.

Now some 2,200 miles away from his originally home of New Orleans, Knight will look to bring his high scoring abilities to the Bay Area and help the Spartans light up the scoreboard in the 2018-19. Learn more about Seneca in today's Take Five feature below.
