Singles Lead Way For Spartans At Start Of CSUN Invitational

Northridge, Calif.----- Five of eight San Jose State University women's tennis players won their first round singles match on the first day of the CSUN Invitational.
 
            Tamara Culibrk, Miyo Kobayashi. Alba Pedrero Galindo, Kristina Baran and Mathilda Vidgren each were straight-set winners.
 
            The Spartans' tandem of  Culibrk and Laura Malsert was the only one of four San Jose State doubles pairs to win a match.  They defeated Luxizi Meng and Eira Tobrand of Fullerton State, 6-3.
 
            The three-day tournament continues on November 10 and concludes November 11.
