Stockton, Calif.——The #7-ranked University of the Pacific (UOP) outscored #19-San Jose State University, 5-0, in the third quarter en route to a 14-8 Golden Coast Conference men's water polo win.
The teams were tied, 2-2, after the first quarter and UOP led at halftime, 6-4.
Senior Cade Baldridge was the Spartans' top scorer with two goals. Collin Murphy, Utku Binkanat, Ashley Castle, Brad Dennis and Neil Arnett each scored once.
Todd Palmer was in goal for San Jose State and was credited with 17 saves.
The Golden Coast Conference Tournament is next for the Spartans starting Friday, November 16. UC Santa Barbara is the host of the six-team tournament.
