Omari Moore Signs With SJSU Men’s Basketball

SAN JOSE, Calif. – Forward Omari Moore from Pasadena, California has signed with San José State men's basketball as part of the 2019-20 class, head coach Jean Prioleau announced Thursday.

"I'm really excited to welcome Omari to the team," Prioleau said. "He's an athletic 6-foot-4 guard that can play multiple positions. He's a good scorer and can also rebound well. It's great to add another California kid to the roster and I'm excited to have him join us next season."

Moore, a graduate of Pasadena High School, averaged seven points, five rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block per game as a senior on a loaded PHS roster that saw four players sign with Division I programs. He is currently attending Middlebrooks Academy in Los Angeles where he will play the 2018-19 season before joining the Spartans in June.

Moore's biggest moment of his senior season came in the CIF semifinal vs. Rancho Verde High School where he led the Bulldogs to a 48-46 victory with a game-high 14 points, 11 rebounds, five blocks, two steals and an assist.
