San Jose, Calif.—For the second consecutive week, San José State women's gymnast Taylor Chan has been named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Gymnast of the Week, this time for her performances at Boise State this past Sunday.
Chan tied her career-best score in the all-around with a 39.175 in the meet at Boise State with Air Force. She has the top all-around score in the MPSF this season and is the only MPSF gymnast to record a 39.000 or better score this season. Chan led the team on the bars with a 9.800 (season best), the beam with a 9.825 (season best) and the floor with a 9.800. She tied for second in the all-around, tied for third on floor and tied for fourth on beam.
San José State travels to Southeast Missouri State for a meet this Friday beginning at 6:30 p.m. CT/4:30 p.m. PT.
