National Academic Honors For Women's Swimming & Diving

Norfolk, Va.----- The San Jose State University women's swimming and diving team streak of College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) national academic team honors now is at even dozen.

To be selected as a CSCAA Scholar All-America team, a program must have a minimum grade point average of 3.00 for the most recent semester. San Jose State's team grade-point average for the fall semester was calculated at 3.38 on a 4.00 scale.

"I'd like to congratulate my team for their continued focus on academic achievement. I am honored to work with such a great group," said San Jose State University women's swimming and diving head coach Sage Hopkins.

"Our women's swimming and diving program is one of our top performing teams academically," said Eileen Daley, senior associate athletics director for academics and student services and the department's senior woman administrator. "They clearly earned this national award.  A streak this long is extremely impressive. Congratulations to the swimmers and divers on earning this recognition again."
