San Jose, Calif.—San José State women's gymnast Taylor Chan has been named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Gymnast of the Week for her performances at the NorCal Classic on January 6.
Chan finished second in the all-around at the NorCal Classic with a 39.025 Sunday afternoon. She was second to Stanford's Kyla Bryant who won every event and the all-around. Chan tied for first on floor with Bryant with a 9.900, and added a 9.800 on beam, 9.700 on vault and 9.625 on bars. Her 39.025 in the all-around is just her fifth 39.000+ score in the all-around during her Spartan career.
San José State travels to Boise for a meet this Sunday at Boise State with Air Force beginning at 2 p.m. MT/1 p.m. PT.
