San Jose, Calif.— Three gymnasts won or tied for event titles, and the San José State women's gymnastics team scored a season-best 194.400 Friday night in a tri-meet with Sacramento State and New Hampshire at The Event Center.
Kaprece Nadonza started the winning for the Spartans on the bars as she tied with two others with a season-best 9.875. It is also the team's top score on bars this season. This was her second career bars win, the other coming in 2017.

Josalyn Ray then tied with New Hampshire's Lauren Diggan on beam for first. Ray scored a career-best 9.825, smashing her previous high of 9.700. This beam title was the first in her career and just her second overall as she won a vault title in 2016.

Taylor Chan then rounded out the winning with her fourth 9.900 on floor this season. It is also her fourth floor title of the season.
The Spartans started the night with a 48.350 on vault, led by freshman Carli Orcutt with a 9.775. The bars team then recorded a season-high 48.825 in the second rotation, led by Nadonza's 9.875. The beam team followed with a 48.425, and the floor team rounded out the night with a 48.800.

The Spartans were second in three-team meet at 194.400. New Hampshire won the meet with a 194.800, while Sacramento State rounded out the scoring with a 192.725.
San José State now goes on the road for two weeks. Next week, the Spartans are at UC Davis for a dual meet on the 22nd at 7 p.m. The team then travels to Seattle Pacific for a meet on March 1 at 7 p.m.
