San Jose, Calif.—San José State women's gymnasts Kaprece Nadonza and Carli Orcutt have earned weekly honors from the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation for the week ending February 17.
Nadonza has been named the MPSF Specialist of the Week after her performance in last week's meet with Sacramento State and New Hampshire. She tied for first on bars with a season-best 9.875, her best bars score since the MPSF Championship meet in 2017. Nadonza won just her second bars title of her collegiate career.
For the third time this season, Orcutt was named the MPSF Freshman of the Week. She had another solid meet for the Spartans last Friday night. Orcutt tied for second on vault with a 9.775 and added a 9.725 on bars and a 9.550 on floor.
The Spartans travel up Interstate 80 this Friday for a meet at UC Davis inside the Pavilion at 7 p.m.
