San Jose, Calif.—San José State women's gymnast Carli Orcutt has been named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Freshman of the Week in women's gymnastics for the week ending February 3. This is her second honor of the season.
Orcutt, from Tucson, Ariz., competed on vault, bars and floor in a home meet with UC Davis and Boise State last Friday night. Starting the night on vault, she recorded a season-best 9.725 and also helped the vault team score a season-best 48.475. Moving to bars, she recorded a 9.725, her second-highest score of the season. On floor, Orcutt scored a 9.650 for the Spartans.
San José State competes at Sacramento State this Friday, February 8, at 7 p.m. The Spartans return to The Event Center on Friday, February 15 to face the Hornets and New Hampshire at 7 p.m. Doors open at 5:45 p.m. Tickets are available at the door or by calling the Spartan Ticket Office at (408) 924-7589.
