This Week: The Spartans close out the week with a three-game, non-conference series at Nichols State in Thibodaux, La., and are back at excite Ballpark, the next day to host Oregon.
Recently: Fresno State swept the Spartans in a three-game Mountain West series. The first two losses were 8-6 and 7-5 decisions.
Spartan Fact: San José State is in third place in the Mountain West standings, 2.5 games behind first-place Fresno State.

Softball (29-15, 9-6 Mountain West)
This Week: The Spartans have a three-game series hosting Utah State at the Spartan Softball Complex to close out a six-game home stand.
Last Weekend: The Spartans took two-out-of-three at UNLV and head into the Utah State series with a two-game winning streak.
Spartan Fact: The Spartans are in second-place in the Mountain West standings, 4.5 games behind conference leader Colorado State. San Jose State has played three fewer conference games than Colorado State.

Women's Tennis (9-8)
This Week: The Spartans begin their quest for a second Mountain West championship in the last three seasons. San Jose State must win four dual matches, one each day starting Wednesday, April 24. The Spartans open the conference tournament vs. #9-seed Fresno State.
Last Week: San José State finished the regular season defeating Sacramento State, 4-0, and losing at Nevada, 4-3, in a match that was determined by a third-set tiebreaker at #4 singles.
Spartan Fact: San Jose State picked up its first win in school history against Fresno State winning, 4-3, in Fresno, on April 12. The Bulldogs had won 19 in a row over the Spartans. A first-round win would pit San Jose State against #1-seed UNLV on April 25.

Women's Golf
This Week: The Spartans wait word on a NCAA Regional Championship berth. The regional championships consist of four sites, Cle Elum, Wash., Auburn, Ala., East Lansing, Mich., and Norman, Okla.
Last Week: San José State finished fourth at the Mountain West Championship. Natasha Anndrea Oon tied for second among all players with a three-over par 219.
Spartan Fact: For the first time as a Mountain West member, San Jose State swept the major individual conference awards. Oon was named Freshman of the Year and first-team All-Mountain West; senior Abegial Arevalo, Player of the Year and first-team All-Mountain West; and head coach Dana Dormann, Mountain West Coach of the Year.

Men's Golf
This Week: The Spartans are entered in the Mountain West Championship at the Omni Tucson (Ariz.) National course, April 25-27.
Last Week: San José State finished third at the 73rd Western Intercollegiate presented by Topgolf and televised by The GOLF Channel. Sean Yu led the Spartans with an eight-under par 202 and finished second after he was defeated in a sudden-death five hole playoff for the coveted blue jacket.
Spartan Fact: Sean Yu was named the Mountain West Golfer of the Week for his play at the Western Intercollegiate. The Spartans are bidding for their first conference championship since 2012.

Football
This Week: The NFL Draft, April 25-27. The first round will occur on April 25. Rounds 2 and 3 are set for Friday, April 26, starting at 4:00 p.m. (PT)/7:00 p.m. (ET). The final four rounds begin Saturday, April 27, at 9:00 a.m. (PT)/12:00 p.m. (ET).
Spartan Facts: Josh Oliver is projected to be the third San Jose State tight end selected in a NFL Draft since 1996. Brian Roche was the San Diego Chargers' third-round pick in 1996. Courtney Anderson was an Oakland Raiders' seventh round choice in 2004.
A June 5, 11:00 a.m., date and time are set for a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Football Operations Center on the east side of CEFCU Stadium.
Women's Water Polo (10-13, 2-4 MPSF)
This Week: The Spartans travel to Stanford for the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championship, April 26-28. San Jose State, seeded #5, takes on #4-seed Cal, in a first-round match on April 25, at 2:30 p.m. A win would propel San Jose State into the semifinal round
Last Match: The Spartans closed the regular season losing to #1-ranked and MPSF regular-season champion Stanford, 22-4.
Spartan Facts: The Spartans practiced in their new home, the SRAC, when the facility opened on April 22. Olga Descalzi Portell became the first San Jose State player to score 50 goals in a season in three years with her one tally against the Cardinal.

This Week: The Spartans travel to Berkeley, Calif., for the Brutus Hamilton Challenge, April 26 & 27
Last Meet: Jose Pina and Craig Huff both ran personal bests in the 5,000 meters to work their way into the San Jose State all-time top-10 runners in the event.
Spartan Facts: Pina and Huff now are listed in the top-10 in two events. For Pina, he is fourth in the 5,000 and 10,000 meters. Huff is second in the steeplechase and ninth in the 5,000 meters.
Women's Track & Field
This Week: The Spartans travel to Berkeley, Calif., for the Brutus Hamilton Challenge, April 26 & 27
Last Meet: Silvia Gutierrez in the hammer throw and Jeanette Zambrano and Jennifer Sandoval in the 5,000 set school records.
Spartan Facts: Camilla Hanson in the 1500, Daja Johnson in the 100, and Diamond Tabron in the 400 hurdles also notched season bests last weekend.
