Spartans Selected to NCAA Cle Elum Regional

Indianapolis, Ind.—The 29th-ranked San José State women's golf team will make their 24th appearance at an NCAA Regional as the Spartans were selected to play at the NCAA Cle Elum (Wash.) Regional.
 
The Spartans are one of 18 teams to play at the Tumble Creek Club, May 6-8. The top-six teams advance to the NCAA Championship, May 17-22, at Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Ark. The low three individuals, not on an advancing team, will also go to the championship.
 
The Cle Elum Regional includes the fields top-seed Southern California along with Arkansas, South Carolina, Northwestern, Washington, Miami, Oregon, the Spartans, Oregon State, Old Dominion, Iowa State, San Diego State, UCF, Ohio State, Sacramento State, New Mexico State, Boston and Southern Illinois.
 
The Spartans are the eighth seed at the regional and will play the first round with Oregon and Oregon State beginning at 9:30 a.m. off of the first tee. Admission is free for all three rounds of the regional.
 
Three other regionals will be played in Norman, Okla., East Lansing, Mich., and Opelika, Ala.
