Spartans Lose 4-0 To UNLV

San Jose, Calif.----- The San Jose State University women's tennis team closed out its 2019 home schedule with a 4-0 loss to UNLV in a Mountain West conference match.

The Spartans (7-7, 0-2 MW) only won one complete set in the two doubles and three singles matches played to a conclusion. Senior Miyo Koabyashi, who was honored in Senior Day pre-match festivities, won her opening set against Izumi Asano, 6-2, but lost the second set, 4-6, when the Rebels (13-6, 3-0 MW) clinched the match.

Vidgren teamed with Alba Pedrero Gailindo, but their match was in the balance, trailing 5-4, when UNLV won at #1 and #2 doubles to take a 1-0 lead on the scoreboard going into the six singles matches.

The Rebels won at #3, #4 and #5 singles to claim their fourth consecutive win.
