Pina 47th In 10,000 At NCAA Preliminary Championships

Sacramento, Calif.----- San Jose State University's Jose Pina finished in 47th place in the men's 10,000 at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Preliminary Championship Meet at Hornet Stadium.
 
            Pina was timed in 30:32.66. The top-12 finishers in the 48-person field advanced to the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Austin, Texas in June.
 
            Ryan Forsyth of Colorado was the #12-qualifier with a time of 29:03.07. BYU's Rory Linkletter won the race in 28:59.43.
 
            The Spartan men's team still has one entry remaining in the meet. Senior Craig Huff, the 2019 Mountain West outdoor track & field champion in the steeplechase, takes the track in his specialty, Friday, May 24, at 9:00 p.m.
