Grajeda Now 10th All-Time In Blocking At SJSU After Saturday's Match

San Luis Obispo, Calif.—Thaliana Grajeda moved into the top-10 in blocking at San José State Saturday as the Spartans fell to Cal Poly 3-0 at the ShareSLO Mustang Challenge.
 
Grajeda recorded five blocks in the match, one solo and four assists, to move into a tie for 10th place at 286 with Alex Akana. Grajeda is also in 10th place in career block assists with 266.
 
Caitlin Bettenay led the team with eight kills and six digs. Haylee Nelson added six kills, and no other Spartan tallied more than three kills for the match.
 
The Spartans finish the tournament with a 2-1 record and a 3-3 overall record. The team returns to the Bay Area for three matches next week in the South Bay Battle. SJSU plays at Santa Clara Thursday night beginning a 7 p.m., followed by the home opener on Friday against Northern Colorado at 6 p.m., and a home match with Marist on Saturday at 2 p.m.
