Stanford, Calif.—San José State shot a 291 in the final round and finished ninth at the Stanford Intercollegiate hosted by Condoleezza Rice at the par-71 Stanford Golf Course.
The Spartans shot the second-best team score of the season with the 291. The team made 15 birdies during the round and finished the tournament with 38 birdies and two eagles made over the three days.
Natasha Andrea Oon finished tied for 13th at even-par 213 after shooting a one-under 70 in the final round. Starting the final round on hole 7, she made birdies on three of her first seven holes but was even par through 12 holes after recording two bogeys. Oon finished the round with five pars and a birdie on #4.
Antonia Malate and Ysabel Tran tied for 47th at eight-over 221. Malate shot her low round of the tournament with a one-over 72 on Sunday. She made four birdies and nine pars during the round. Tran shot a three-over 74, making two birdies and 11 pars during the round.
Kajsa Arwefjäll tied for 58th at 11-over 284, with an 80 in the final round. Jadan Gonzalez shot her best round of the season with a 75 on Sunday and finished tied for 81st at 233. She made three birdies and eight birdies during her round.
The Spartans have one tournament left in the fall, Battle at the Beach in Cabo San Lucas to start the month of November.
