Moraga Calif.----- Freshmen Rozalina Youseva and Laura Marco Mas, sophomore Savannah Sendar and junior Klara Milojkovic were winners in singles action on the first day of the Saint Mary's Invitational women's tennis tournament.
Youseva was the only one of the San Jose State winners to be pushed to three sets before defeating #2-seed Maddie Pothoff of Santa Clara, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4.
In doubles action, Laura Malsert and Alba Pedrero Galindo won a pair of matches to advance to the semifinal round of their flight.
The Saint Mary's Invitational continues on October 5 and concludes on October 6.
