San Jose State University players won three doubles and three singles matches on the final day of its three-day San Jose State Fall Invite women's tennis tournament.
Senior Tamara Culibrk and juniors Laura Malsert and Savannah Sendar each won a singles and doubles match for the Spartans. Malsert and Sendar were doubles partners in a 6-1 win over Dohee Lee and Maya Lopez of Pacific. Culibrk teamed with Alba Pedrero Galindo for a victory over Pacific's Danielle Zamora and Elise Frigout, 6-0.
Sendar was a straight-set winner in singles over USF's Alicia Yue, 6-0, 6-3. Malsert and Culibrk also won in straight sets over Pacific's Zamora and Hannah Ketcherside, respectively.
Freshmen Lara Marco Mas and Rozalina Youseva in doubles over Anna Ramos Vinolas and Zoe Eberle of Pacific, 6-3, accounted for the Spartans doubles sweep over the Tigers.
For the three days, San Jose State came away with 16 victories. USF was next with 15 followed by Santa Clara, 11, and Pacific, seven.
The Spartans concluded their fall tournament season and are not back in action until the Fullerton Invite, January 17-19, to open the spring season.
