Colorado Springs, Colo.—San Jose State sophomore right side Haylee Nelson has been named the Mountain West Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for November 4 after her performances against Boise State and Utah State last week.
Nelson hit .450 on the week to lead the Spartans to a 1-1 record. She averaged 4.00 kills and 4.25 points per set. Nelson led the team with 16 kills in the win over Utah State and hit .500 for the match. She also had a service ace, four digs and a block for SJSU. Against Boise State, Nelson hit .375 with eight kills.
San José State hosts Nevada Tuesday night beginning at 6 p.m. inside Spartan Gym, located on the corner of Fourth and San Carlos Streets.
