SAN JOSE, Calif. - San José State women's swimming and diving is ready to compete for the 2020 Mountain West Championship. The Spartans will take part in the four-day event held at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota beginning on Wednesday.
The Spartans finished the regular season with a 5-2-1 record in dual meets. After four years of not having on-campus events, SJSU hosted three meets at their new home facility, the Spartan Recreation and Aquatic Center (SRAC). Competing in front of a home crowd powered the squad to a 3-0-1 record against teams in those events.
SJSU will have a plethora of leadership to guide them in their quest for the 2020 championship title, not only under the tutelage of 15th-year head coach Sage Hopkins, but also with 11 seniors leading the squad.
