San Francisco, Calif.------ Laura Malsert was San Jose State University's only women's tennis winner in a 4-1 non-conference loss to the University of San Francisco (USF) at the Olympic Club.
Malsert was a 6-0, 6-0 winner over Alexa Meyer at #6-signles for the Spartans (1-1).
USF (2-1) took a 1-0 on the scoreboard with wins at #2 and #3-doubles. After Malsert won her match, the Dons closed out the Spartans with straight-set wins at #4, #3 and #5 singles.
San Jose State wraps up its week's action with a Saturday, February 8 non-conference match at Cal Poly. First serve is at 11:00 a.m.
