San Jose, Calif.—For the second consecutive week, San José State women's gymnast Emma Milne has been named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Women's Gymnastics Freshman of the Week for her performances at Denver on Sunday.
Milne, from Barrie, Ontario, tied for third on bars Sunday with a season-high 9.925, tying for the second-best bars score in school history. She is just the fourth Spartan to achieve that score on bars. Milne also helped the Spartan bars team achieve a 49.150, tying for the fourth-best bars score in school history.
Milne finished fourth on beam with a team-best 9.850 and added a 9.650 on vault.
San José State returns home this Sunday for a meet with Sacramento State beginning at 2 p.m., inside the Provident Credit Event Center.
