Knight Named Third-Team All-League in Media Vote

LAS VEGAS - San Jose State sophomore Seneca Knight was named third-team all-Mountain West in a poll of the league's 11 media markets. Geoff Grammer from the Albuquerque Journal organizes the poll.

Knight has been the star of the show this season for the Spartans. In league play this season, the lanky guard is third in the Mountain West, averaging 20.1 points per game. His scoring output is behind only Nevada's Jalen Harris (25.3 ppg) and UNLV's Bryce Hamilton (20.9 ppg) in the conference, both first team selections by the media.

Knight has tallied three 30+ point games against MW opponents - at UNLV, at Nevada and at Colorado State - and scored in double figures in all but one conference game this season.

The Louisiana native averaged 6.2 points in 20.1 minutes per game last season as a freshman.

Knight and the Spartans open the Mountain West Tournament at 2:30 PM on Wednesday against New Mexico. Catch the free live stream on the Mountain West Digital Network.
