San Jose State WR Tre Walker Named To Biletnikoff Award Watch List

Tallahassee, Fla.----- San Jose State University senior Tre Walker, a 2019 first-team All-Mountain West wide receiver, is one of 55 players on the Biletnikoff Award Watch List.

The Biletnikoff Award, named after the former Oakland Raiders' Hall of Fame wide receiver Fred Bilietnikoff, is presented annually to the outstanding college football receiver regardless of a player's position on offense.

In 2019, Walker caught 79 passes for 1,161 yards and two touchdowns. The sixth Spartan in program history with a 1,000-yard receiving season ranked third nationally among Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) players in receiving yards per game (116.1) and was fourth in the FBS for pass receptions per game (7.9).  The Mountain West leader in both categories had six games with 100 or more receiving yards and three contests with 10 or more receptions.

Walker is listed on the Biletnikoff Award Watch List for the second consecutive season. He was added to the 2019 list in early November.

Semifinalists will be announced on November 16 and three finalists will be named on November 23. The winner will be announced during the ESPN Home Depot College Football Awards Show on December 10.

The 2020 Biletnikoff Award will be presented on March 6, 2021.

The Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation is in its 27th year as the sponsor of the award.
