Norman, Okla.----- For the second consecutive year, the San Jose State University men's golf program earned a Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) "Outstanding Team Academic Award."
To earn a GCAA "Outstanding Team Academic Award," a men's golf program must have a team grade-point average of 3.00 or higher on a 4.00 scale.
"I'm very proud of our 11 young men earning this honor again this year. From our seniors to our freshmen, they focused on their academics and played a high level of competitive golf despite the unique circumstances of this school year. It's a real tribute to them individually and collectively we received this recognition," said San Jose State University men's golf coach and GCAA President John Kennaday.
San Jose State is one of six Mountain West schools (New Mexico, Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, and Wyoming) honored for its 2019-20 team academic performance.
