SAN JOSE, Calif. - Spartan Fans, it's time to meet freshman defender Jaedyn Sanders! Sanders joins the Spartans from James E. Enochs High in Modesto where she played three seasons of varsity soccer. She was a two-time first team all-league selection and was named the team's MVP as a freshman after scoring 16 goals. She followed that season up by scoring a whopping 36 goals with 13 assists as a sophomore. Sanders has also played with the San Jose Earthquakes U18/19 squad. Q: What has been your most memorable moment on the playing field?
JAEDYN: My most memorable moment playing soccer isn't any one moment. It is the experiences of meeting so many different people from many different places.
Q: Who is your all-time favorite music artist?
JAEDYN: Either SZA or Kendrick Lamar.
Q: How old were you when you first began playing soccer and when did you know you wanted to play at the collegiate level?
JAEDYN: I was five years old when I began playing soccer, and I realized that I had the skill set to play collegiately when I was 11.
Q: What is your pregame hype song?
JAEDYN: "m.A.A.d. City" by Kendrick Lamar.
Q: If you could have dinner with anyone, past or present, real or fictional, who would it be?
JAEDYN: If I could go to dinner with anyone it would be Mac Miller.
Q: What are some of your hobbies outside of soccer?
JAEDYN: Painting, listening to music and reading.
Q: What is your favorite thing about playing your position?
JAEDYN: I like that I see the entire field and using that vision to communicate with my teammates.
Q: What is your favorite emoji?
JAEDYN: I like the clown emoji.

JAEDYN: I can kind of yodel.
Q: Why did you decide to come to San Jose State?
JAEDYN: I was drawn to the fun, diverse and competitive environment that this program offers.
