Rockville, Md.—San José State women's golfer Natasha Andrea Oon shot a three-under 69 during the second round of the 2020 U.S. Women's Amateur at Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, Md., on Wednesday.
Oon finished the two rounds of stroke play in a tie for 14th place at one-over 145. She rebounded from a first-round 76 where she made only two birdies and 11 pars.
The second round was played on Wednesday as Hurricane Isaias moved through Maryland on Tuesday. Oon made five birdies and 11 pars during the second round to shoot her 69, tying Marissa Wenzler for the low round of the day in the field of 132 players.
Oon will play fellow collegian Nicole Whiston in the round of 64 on Thursday. They will tee off at 2:10 p.m. EDT/11:10 a.m. PDT. Whiston just completed her first year at the University of Tennessee and is from San Diego.
