Mountain West Announces 2020-21 MBB Conference Schedule

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Mountain West announced the 2020-21 men's basketball conference schedule on Friday. Subject to approval from state, county and local officials, the 18-game league slate will begin on Tuesday, Dec. 29 and conclude on Saturday, March 6.

Each institution will play nine home games and make nine road trips during the Conference season. League play will determine the seeding for the 2021 MW Men's Basketball Championship, which will be held March 10-13 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

The Spartans, led by fourth-year head coach Jean Prioleau, will tip off the season on the road against the Boise State Broncos on December 29th and will then quickly host their first of nine home contests on January 2nd against Nevada.

"We're excited for the opportunity to get to play another great conference schedule," Prioleau said. "It will be challenging as always and we look forward to getting back out there and competing."

SJSU will have byes on Tuesday, January 26th and Saturday, February 27th. The Spartans will play each team at home and on the road with the exception of Utah State on the road and UNLV at home. All times are currently TBA.

Today's release represents the first phase in the 2020-21 men's basketball schedule process. Mountain West national television partners CBS Sports and FOX Sports will now initiate a selection procedure, which will include the shifting of several games from their current Saturday and Tuesday dates. Additional announcements on television selections will be made in the coming weeks.
