Cade Hall - Mountain West Defensive Player Of The Week

Colorado Springs, Colo.-----San Jose State University defensive lineman Cade Hall had a career night in the Spartans' 34-17 win over UNLV and earned Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week honors for games ending the week of November 14.
 
            The junior from Morgan Hill, Calif., and product of San Jose's Bellarmine Prep was credited with personal single-game bests of 3.0 quarterback sacks and 4.0 tackles for loss in the win that improved San Jose State's win-loss record for the season to 4-0. Hall finished the game with seven total tackles as the Spartans as a team was credited with seven quarterback sacks of two UNLV quarterbacks.
 
            Hall's performance lifted him to #5 among Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) players nationally in the statistical category of individual quarterback sacks with 5.5 after four games. His 6.5 tackles for loss ranks him 19th nationally.
 
             Hall is the third Spartan in three weeks to earn a Mountain West football "Player of the Week" honor. Following the October 31 win over New Mexico, quarterback Nick Starkel was named the "Offensive Player of the Week." Safety Tre Jenkins received "Defensive Player of the Week" for his contributions in the San Diego State victory.
 
            San Jose State travels to Fresno State this weekend for a November 21, 4:00 p.m.  Mountain West game. The CBS Sports Network will televise the contest.
