SAN JOSE, Calif. – San Jose State men's basketball is just about ready to begin the 2020-21 season after what has been an offseason full of intrigue and uncertainty. The Spartans will tip-off the season on Wednesday, November 25th against Simpson University in what will be the first of five non-conference games on the schedule leading up to their December 21st trip to Logan, Utah for the start of Mountain West play.
SJSU's nonconference slate features four contests inside the Provident Credit Union Event Center beginning next week and one in-state road contest. The Spartans' game against Simpson is slated for a 2:00 p.m. PT tip.
The Spartan's lone road trip is to Malibu to take on Pepperdine on Wednesday, December 2nd. The teams faced each other last season in San Jose with the Spartans walking away with an 83-68 victory.
After returning home, SJSU will host two games against Pacific (12/6) and St. Katherine's (12/9), and then will have a few days rest before hosting cross-town rival Santa Clara on Friday, December 18th, in the final contest before league play begins.
Due to current COVID-19 restrictions set by Santa Clara County, fans will not be permitted inside the Provident Credit Union Event Center for any games this season. All Spartan Men's Basketball games will be available to stream live on the Mountain West Digital Network. Fans will also be able to hear Justin Allegri's radio call for each game through the TuneIn app and TuneIn.com.
