Spartans Take Undefeated Record To Boise

San José State record: 4-0, 4-0 Mountain West. Most recently, the Spartans defeated UNLV, 34-17, in a Mountain West game on November 14. San José State has wins in its last five games dating back to the 17-16 victory over Fresno State to conclude the 2019 season.

Boise State record: 4-1, 4-0 Mountain West. Most recently, the Broncos defeated Hawai'i, 40-32, on November 21.

Play-by-Play Radio Coverage: KTRB (860 AM, San Francisco) will broadcast the Boise State game. Justin Allegri calls the play-by-play. Kevin Richardson provides commentary. The Boise State broadcast begins at 12:30 p.m. (PST) with a pregame show.

Television:  Fox Sports will provide broadcast coverage.  The Fox Sports network telecast begins at 2:00 p.m. (MT)/1:00 p.m. (PT).



Series history: Boise State leads the series, 14-0. Last year, the Broncos overcame a 14-point first-quarter deficit and two other first-half 10-point differences to post a 52-42 win at San Jose State's CEFCU Stadium.
This year's game will be the eighth time in the series Boise State is hosting the Spartans dating back to 1978. Of the seven previous games in Boise, the slightest margin of difference was in 2016 when Boise State recorded a 14-point, 45-31 decision.

Aiming for a 5-0 start to the season: The last time a San José State team began a season with a 5-0 record was in 1939 when the Spartans completed a perfect 13-0 season. 

One of 17: San José State heads into the Boise State game as one of 17 Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) teams with an undefeated record in games played through November 21. Ten (10) teams, including San José State, have records of 4-0 or better.

Small sample size item #1: With their November 6 victory over San Diego State, the Spartans on Saturday at Boise State seek back-to-back road wins for the first time since 2013 when the team won in three different times posting victories at Hawai'i (HT), at Colorado State (MT) and at UNLV (PT).

Small sample size item #2: The last time San Jose State completed a regular season winning all its road games was in 1940 when the Spartans won their seven road games at Montana State, Utah State, Willamette, University of San Francisco, UC Santa Barbara, Loyola of Los Angeles, and Fresno State.
