San José State record: 5-0, 5-0 Mountain West. The Spartans kept their undefeated season in tact with a 35-24 win over the University of Hawaii in a "home game" played at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawai'i.
The game was the Spartans' first after a two-week absence due to COVID-19 issues with opponents Fresno State for November 21 and Boise State on November 28. San José State has wins in its last six games dating back to the 17-16 victory over Fresno State to conclude the 2019 season.
The Spartans are guaranteed their first winning season since 2012 when the team finished with an 11-2 win-loss record. Since then, the 2013 squad with a 6-6 record was the only San José State team at the .500 mark.
Nevada record: 6-1, 6-1 Mountain West. Most recently, the Wolf Pack returned to the win column with a 37-26 triumph over Fresno State on December 5.
Play-by-Play Radio Coverage: KDOW (1220 AM, Palo Alto) will broadcast the Nevada game. Justin Allegri calls the play-by-play. Kevin Richardson provides commentary. The Nevada broadcast begins at 6:30 p.m. (PST) with a pregame show. The broadcast also is available on the TuneIn app.

Television: The CBS Sports Network will televise the game. Dave Ryan is scheduled to call the play-by-play. Randy Cross is scheduled to be the analyst. The CBS Sports Network telecast begins at 7:00 p.m. (PT).
Series history: Nevada leads the series, 22-9-2 dating back to 1899. The Wolf Pack have won the last three games including a 41-38 victory on October 12, 2019 when Nevada kicker Brandon Talton kicked a 40-yard field on the final play of the game.
San Jose State's last win in the series was a 14-10 victory at CEFCU Stadium during the 2015 season.
One of nine: San José State heads into the Nevada game as one of nine Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) teams with an undefeated record in games played through December 5. Six of the nine teams, including San Jose State, has a record of 5-0 or better.

Spartans in Top-20 in scoring defense: Despite giving up a season-high 24 points in the 35-24 win at Hawai'i on December 5, San Jose State remains in the top-20 among Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) teams in scoring defense. The Spartans enter the Nevada game 12th nationally in points allowed 17.0 per game. The last San Jose State team that yielded less than 20 points a game for a season was the 1990 Spartans allowed 19.0 points a game and finished as Big West Conference and California Raisin Bowl champions with a 9-2-1 record.
